There have been many different medical TV shows in the years. I have watched many of them because there are enjoyable to me and many other people. The two that I watch the most are actually very different in style but still are very similar in format. Scrubs and Grey’s Anatomy are both about interns and their adventures becoming doctors, however they are different in many ways. For example, Scrubs is a comedy and Grey’s Anatomy is a drama. In this paper, I plan to show you in detail how they compare and contrast. The most obvious reason that these shows are different is the genre of the TV show. Scrubs is a laugh out loud type of comedy, where things that will never in a million years actually happen, happen in this show. Scrubs target audience is going to be different because of this as well; the target is going to be for someone with light humor mainly in my mind for teenagers to thirty-year-old men and women. Because this is not a comedy like Scrubs it allows you to see how hard it is to become a doctor and the stressful lives that they have. This is one of the reasons that I enjoying watching this show, when I want see the hardships that many of Americans live with, I watch Grey’s Anatomy. When I want a good laugh, I tone into Scrubs. This makes the audience much different as well; I think the target audience is 14 and up females. Many men end up watching the show as well because their spouses watches it and they get hooked, that’s what happened to me. I enjoy watching both of these shows for different reasons because they are so different in style. Despite having the same bases for their shows, the creators of Scrubs and Grey’s Anatomy went after a different group of viewers with a very different style. With both shows, there are a group of interns that all started at the same time and they are together the majority of the show. In both shows, they become a good friend that leads them to hang out outside of work. In both of these shows as well they have become friends with other members of the hospital, their bosses, and they also hang out outside of work but Scrubs is the only one that has a member from the maintenance crew, the janitor, join them. This is just another example of how Scrubs does not depict what is really like in a hospital. I worked for the maintenance crew for a hospital just out of high school, stocking the linen closet with clean linens from the basement; I never talked to a doctor or nurse, except my step mom. When these groups of friends hang out they both go to a bar to hang out and forget about the hard job they have to do. Grey’s Anatomy is the only one that becomes friends with the bartender and uses him to talk to and vent when things go bad. The similarities here are those of many careers, and that is going to the bar after work. The bar is a place frequent by many people and many TV shows have it as a major scene. Both of these shows are no different, they both have many scenes that are in a bar. Presidential Election Speech Hello my as many of you know my name is John Moriarty. I am running as the Democratic Candidate for President of the United States of America. So that you understand my positions on certain issues I will tell you a little about myself. I was born on August 16, 1948, my father was a former U.S. senator. I grew up in the Bronx, of New York, and I received a degree in Government from Harvard University. After I graduated I volunteered for enlistment in the U.S. Army and I served in Vietnam. When I returned to civilian life I married a woman named Nicole Swift, who is my wife to this day. We then started a family, in 1973 I had my first son named John, and in 1980 I had another son named James. I then studied Law at Vanderbillt Law School. In 1976 I was elected to represent New York in the U.S. House of Representatives, I was also elected to U.S. Senate in 1984 and again in 1990. I will now state my position on 4 separate issues that are current in the United Sates today. The first issue I will talk about is abortion. I am pro-choice, I do feel that women should have the right to choose if they want an abortion or not. Abortion is one of the most controversial issues in the United States today. One out of every three pregnancies never takes place because a woman has an abortion. It is understood that a new individual human begins growing in the mother’s uterus at fertilization. The term abortion refers to any premature expulsion of a human fetus. Approximately 93 percent of all induced abortions are done for elective, non-medical reasons. In 1973, the Supreme Court handed down Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton decisions legalizing abortion in all 50 states during all nine months of pregnancy, for any reason, medical, social, or otherwise. This problem has split America in to two sides; pro - choice and pro - life. In January 22, 1973 U. S Supreme Court declared that a women had the " Fundamental Fight" to have an abortion. I agree with the ruli ng the Supreme Court made I will stand by it. The next issue I am going to elaborate on is gun control. I am very supportive of controlling the amount of guns that are distributed, I feel that there is too many crimes with illegal guns that happen everyday.

Probably, I will not tell you a secret if I say that sport plays a great role in our life. It is also known that the reason of its popularity is not only that sport is a well known method to keep fit, be healthy and beautiful, nice entertainment and recreation. Actually, nowadays, sports, both team and individual, is an integrated part of politics and business, which really lets to earn much money and perhaps this fact makes our passion to it even greater. As for me, I like different kinds of sports independently if it is team or individual one. But frankly speaking, in some situations I give preferences to one of them. First I’d like to speak about advantages of team sports. As for me, all kinds of team sports can be not only a nice entertainment but also a perfect training. Team games usually develop skills of working in group, contribution and, of course, leadership. I like to watch them more then to play. It is interesting for me to define a leader in the team and spy upon him or her. Actually, I have made an interesting own revelation – real team leaders are not always the captains of the team. Unfortunately, the same sometimes happens in other shears of life. As for the advantages of the individual sports, I’d like admit, that besides it gives vivid profits to the health and body, I think it also adds much to the ability of the person to struggle. Winning in sport games, successful sportsman achieves a success in all other fields. Actually I like this idea very much and that is why I feel an excitement both while watching some individual sports and even more while playing myself. In my school years I went info tennis. That is why till now I like this kind of sport mostly. According to my trainer’s words, tennis is the sport for aristocrats, that means that the movements of tennis players should be gentle, but at the same time accurate. Thus, there is no doubt for all of us that sport is very significant part of our life. It gives us not only an opportunity to be healthy and beautiful, but also a chance to be successful. As for me I like almost all kinds of sport games, but still myself I prefer to play individual sports, because it helps me to keep fit and always rush to the victory.

With the Industrial Revolution, urban societies grew. This caused people to work in factories instead of on their farms. They began to work for the same amount of time every day and used machinery instead of making things by hand. This allowed goods to be mass produced cheaply and efficiently. It required the use of machines to clean chimneys.
